Each partner school has appointed a named Careers Leader and has used the Compass self- assessment tool to establish where their careers provision sits in terms of the Gatsby Benchmarks. All schools are proactive members in the Careers and Enterprise Company’s Enterprise Advisor Network. Moreover, each individual school publishes details of their careers programme for both stakeholders and external agencies and has a published policy setting out arrangements for education and training providers to be able to access students in Key Stages 3 and 4 and Post-16 (where appropriate).
Each school already has a strong and established programme of careers guidance and are able to extend this ready for a launch in the 2019/20 academic year. The use of data such as performance measures, NEET figures and external reviews of these programmes, in addition to Student Voice data, clearly demonstrates that the existing programmes have a proven track record when it comes to demonstrating a positive impact.
All five schools have signed a MOU that confirms their intention to work together as part of a Collaborative Partnership called The Encompass Careers Alliance.
